Background:

The Fair Company questionnaire bundles all the knowledge of the major generational studies. Since 2019, all relevant insights regarding Generation Y and Generation Z and their expectations of employers have been collected and the essential points summarized in categories. In line with the development of the labor market and expectations of employers, the questionnaire is regularly updated, with the most recent update in 2024 to the latest state of scientific knowledge. The latest major studies were considered (e.g., Youth in Germany 2023, EY Student Study 2022, Shell Study, Zenjob Gen-Z Study, Youth Study Young Europe, etc.), and both the entrance examination for companies as well as the feedback from young professionals have been supplemented and updated. For example, the issue of (job) security has gained importance due to the numerous crises of recent years.

Scientific partner of Fair Company is the Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE), which, under the direction of Prof. Jutta Rump, develops the criteria and the questionnaire and reviews the companies.
