  • Leadership, company culture, transparency, and communication
  • Work organization and work-life balance
  • Careers and personnel development
  • Compensation and additional benefits
  • (Job) Security
  • Diversity and individuality

Step two
Evaluation of your answers

Your entry will be evaluated at the Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE). The questionnaire is considered passed if at least 55 percent is achieved overall and in all individual topic areas.

Step three
Your result

About two weeks after the entry, the Fair Company team will contact you with the result. If you meet the requirements and pass the admission test, a personal exchange and membership offer will follow.
Feel free to contact us in advance for a conversation and questions.

Step four
Admission as Fair Company

Welcome as Fair Company! With your start, you will receive all access and materials for communication, recruiting and employer branding.

As a Fair Company, you will receive regular feedback also from your young professionals. The required number of entries depends on the size of the company. This ensures the continuous quality of the network, and we present you the results in a personal evaluation. Frequently Asked Questions About Admission

Who should fill out the questionnaire?

The questionnaire is filled out by the company side, usually by HR personnel or (depending on the company structure and size) also the management. In any case, the persons should know the company very well.
It is also advisable to go through the questionnaire together with two or three people to best assess the company.

How should I prepare for the survey?

No specific preparation is required for the questionnaire – as mentioned above, the participants should know the company well. You don’t need to look up or upload data or statistics – it’s primarily about the lived practices and culture in the company.

Can we receive the questionnaire in advance?

We or the Institute for Employment and Employability do not provide the questionnaire as a whole beforehand. On one hand, it contains scientific conception and ownership, on the other hand, the questions should not be answered “strategically” but out of the lived corporate culture.
You can go back and make changes at any time before final submission. Your status is also saved so that you can continue at a later time (from the same computer). However, we recommend answering the questionnaire in one go.

Who has access to my answers and data?

Your responses and data are held by the Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE) at Ludwigshafen University. When you submit the questionnaire, you will receive a PDF for download, where you can also find your responses for documentation.

No third parties have access to your data. The Fair Company team also does not have direct access to the survey tool and the detailed data but acts as an intermediary: We inform you if your test was successful and forward your evaluation and points overview in the individual fairness areas if you choose to join.

What happens if the test is not passed?
The admission test is considered failed if the minimum score of 55 percent is not met in one of the areas. In such a case, we inform you and identify the areas where there is potential for improvement to become more attractive to young professionals (see also Fair Company criteria).
You can work on these areas and reapply for admission as a Fair Company after six months.

Apart from the Institute for Employment and Employability and the Fair Company team, no one will know of your participation.

How long is the Fair Company certification valid?

The Fair Company certification is renewed approximately every three to four years, depending on how the labor market and thus the requirements and expectations of employers evolve. Together with the Institute for Employment and Employability, we adjust the criteria and the questionnaire accordingly.
When it is time for you again, we will contact you in advance.

How does the feedback process with the Young Talents work?

The feedback from the Young Talents is collected using a separate questionnaire, which covers the same topics as in the admission test. You will receive the link together with the communication materials at the start of your membership.
With the feedback, you have a double effect: You can directly use it internally in marketing and show that you are recognized as a Fair Company and an attractive employer. At the same time, you generate ratings from your young professionals.

Once a year, you will receive your company-specific evaluation with valuable insights for your HR strategy and, of course, communication.

What services does the membership include and what are the costs for us?

As a Fair Company, you can use a comprehensive package for your communication and employer branding. This includes, among others, presence and employer profile in the Fair Company network, unlimited use of the job board, licensing rights for the Fair Company quality seal, and further materials for your website, email banner, social media.
You also get access to the articles and offerings of Handelsblatt, with a focus on HR and career topics.

The cost depends individually on the size of the company/number of employees. With a successful admission test, you will receive your personal offer. Feel free to contact us at any time to get an assessment for your company in advance.
